It's hard to believe that we are at the end of another year. This week our students have been enjoying a host of fun activities for all of the hard work that has gone on during the year: Toby the Train was onsite, we've had waterslides and pool parties, gingerbread baking and Rainbows End trip for road-patrollers and councillors.

Please remember that we have Pen Assembly tomorrow at 11:15am where we will be farewelling Ms Kenealy after 25 yrs service at our school. We also have Junior School prizegiving from 11:15am on Monday and Senior School prizegiving at 7:00pm on Monday night. Reports and portfolios are due home tomorrow afternoon at the end of the school day. If your child is absent, please make contact with the office to arrange the collection of it next week. Class placements will be advertised before the start of the new term which is on Thursday 2nd February.
Last week I was at senior camp, where the students really enjoyed themselves. They were physically and mentally challenged in a variety of ways: kayaking, orienteering, climbing Mt Maunganui, paintballing and attacking Adrenalin Forest. Thanks to all of the parents who gave up their time and supported our students - they really appreciated your encouragement.
On behalf of the school community I would like to pass on our congratulations to Miss Dampney who was recently married - next year she will be known as Mrs Grainger.
We have the Christmas Float parade happening this Saturday. A lot of hard work has gone into constructing it by a team of dedicated staff. Now all we need is to have some students come along and join us on the float. Please fill out this survey to register your child to go on the float - unfortunately we only have space for 24 students on the float - we will communicate directly with the successful families and look forward to seeing everyone else supporting us from the footpaths. The parade begins at 11am.
Next Wednesday is the last day - school closes at 12:30pm. Buses will only be running in the morning. We would like to wish you all a happy and safe summer break and thank you for your support throughout the year.
